About The Consulate-General

 

The Consulate-General was re-established in Sydney following the  announcement by The Rt. Hon. Grand Chief Sir Michael T. Somare during his official visit to Australia in April 2009.

The Consulate-General opened for business on 30 July 2009. 

The Consulate General of Papua New Guinea in Sydney has jurisdiction throughout New South Wales and is responsible for promoting PNG interests, especially its peoples, traditions and culture, people to people contacts, trade, investment, related economic activities and protection of PNG nationals.
